Step 1  Online Entry

Entry Form

To create a login account, go to the Online Entry Form and fill out the necessary information (see Entry Form at a Glance for reference)

When you submit the Online Entry Form from our webpage, your ID and password will be sent to your email address written on the Entry Form. Without successfully completing the online entry, you will not be able to proceed to Step 2 (application).

** All documents must be prepared in English. If the original document is issued not in English, please provide translation of it.

Use the Application Checklist below to ensure that you have accounted for all application components. Please carefully follow the mailing instructions explained at the bottom of this page.

  Photocopy of diplomas from all colleges/universities attended with a signature and seal from the 3rd party. If your diplomas are not English, please provide an official translation.
  Original English Transcript(s) issued by all colleges/universities attended (if your transcript is not English, please provide an official translation)
  Standardized test information – originally issued TOEFL or IELTS score report (only for those whose undergraduate/graduate education was not conducted in English. If received your education in English, please submit a proof letter issued by the university you have graduated from)
  A photocopy of either a paper, report, thesis, or book written in English, if any
  An Assignment Paper (Form 4)
  A Research Proposal at the SMIPRP (Form 5)
  WCO Nomination Form (Form 6: if applicable, please submit the form. The form needs to be completed by, or under the authority of, the Head of the nominating administration e.g. Director General, Commissioner or equivalent official)
  A photocopy of your passport

Please send all mailing materials by DHL or other registered express mailing delivery service, including sealed references, in a labeled envelope or package, according to the instructions below. Mailing Materials must be received by the deadline (Japan Standard Time).

Mail Labeling Instructions:
Please clearly label any envelopes or packages sent to the Admissions Office at the Graduate School of Business, Aoyama Gakuin University, with the last (family) and first (given) names under which you applied. Unlabeled materials may be subjected to a processing delay.

Step 3  Online Interviews

After reviewing applications, the Admissions Committee for the SMIPRP will request an interview for selected applicants. If the Admissions Committee invites you for an interview, you will receive the notification and scheduling information on the interview via email. Please note that interviews will be conducted only for applicants who have passed the initial screening based on the Mailing Materials.

Interviews are conducted via Skype. If you are invited for an interview, you should be online and prepared to receive our call at the day and time scheduled by the Admissions Committee.

The interview will provide the Admissions Committee with more information about your professional experience, career goals, and personal characteristics. Interviews are conducted by our faculty members, who will have thoroughly read your entire application and be very familiar with your background and goals.

The interview is an opportunity to make sure our SMIPRP at AGU is right for you.
If our faculty members are unable to reach you by Skype, we will call the phone number listed on your application form.

Application Deadline

Online Entry must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. Japan Standard Time on the day of the deadline.
All mailing application materials must be received by the Master's Program Admissions Office of AGU's Graduate School of Business by the deadline.

We require each applicant to provide an email address because it will be your primary form of communication with AGU Admissions. To protect your privacy, admissions notifications are available only through our password-protected Application Status Check Website.

AGU is not responsible for any technological issues (including email filters) that prevent applicants from receiving our communications. Please contact your email provider and/or set your spam filter preferences to ensure you will receive email from all email addresses from "aoyamagakuin.jp" and "aoyama.ac.jp"

Incomplete Applications

If your application is not complete (e.g., missing test scores, illegible scanned transcript, no assignment or other items), you will be informed via email. If you do not provide a completed application by the deadline, we cannot guarantee notification by the initial notification date.

AGU respects the privacy of every individual who submits personal information to us. All submitted information shall only be used for the purposes of administration and entry examination. AGU will not share submitted information from any individual with a third party.
